Debut release from long time friend and Cloister mainstay. Michael Bjella’s new project takes us on a melancholic journey with Distance Machine. A more ambient approach compared to his previous works with GOG.
Note for the listener:
The signal needs to be amplified as you are listening to something that is broken and unfathomably far away. This connection allows you to traverse and dial in the form of depth only. You will notice when it is extremely close or when it has gone beyond your reach. When it breaks away, you will become aware of the most invisible sounds around you, unless you try and leave with it.
Even then…it’s just a machine. Total silence would be terrifying.
