He is one of the key figure on world’s contemporary noise scene, the owner of the cult noise label Hospital Production and the record store in NY. Many say Prurient is the best US noise act of today and it’s hard to argue: Prurient produces highly emotional, deeply personal, almost intime noise music. Though mostly Prurient’s music sounds in a very brutal and aggressive way, it always has that „human“ element hidden. Even when it’s almost impossible to hear lyrics clearly because of the voice extremely distorted, pitched and overloaded.
