The new work of this famous russian avant-garde/experimental artist (Zga, Vetrophonia) is a soundtrack for the play of russian experimental Akhe theatre (http://www.akhe.ru) called „Faust3.“ Having its roots in XX century russian classical music, this album mostly reminds of Shostakovich and Schnittke stage works with their distinctive atmosphere of absurd and anxiety. The release comes in a special package with big illustrated bilingual russian-english booklet containing Akhe’s leader Maxim Isaev poem „The Posthumous Writings of Doctor J. Faustus in His Own Hand“ which appears to be a literary counterpart to these play and soundtrack.
