in 2026, we proudly present the current album with the longing title „FERNWEH“ on ONLY the SUN KNOWS Records.
DER ARBEITER is the solo project of Chilean architect and musician Juan A.
The artist has already made a name for himself in the past with his unique style.

The recordings, consisting of nine original compositions and one cover track, were created between 2022 and 2025 and are characterized by an overarching style.

The clear song structures combine precisely calculated, classic NeoFolk arrangements with warm sounds from electroacoustic instruments, along with cold synth pads and electronic beats, creating a harmonious sound tapestry.

A superb addition is a cover version of the futuristic-dystopian song „Utopia“ by English artist GOLDFRAPP, which is harmoniously integrated into the album’s material.
