These are nine new dreamscapes transmuted through the oneirographic vessel that is Norn, one of several creative outlets of Trepaneringsritualen’s nOh v˚v. While retaining part of the mesmerizing ambient qualities of its predecessor, Endling offers a different range of parallel sonic realities. Next to conjuring cadences and melancholic panoramas we find crispy apocalyptic visions that foretell the fate of the Low Lands in the project’s haunting jargon of aural divination.

Underneath all of this lies a series of questions that has guided the album’s narrative: what it is that will remain, and for how long; what new vistas will arise from the depths of the ocean that covers us, and how humanity will transform to adapt to the new post-human plain in the world-that-could-do-without-us.
An apocalyptic electronic reverie that compels as much as it enthralls.
